Terms & usage information

A service for writing, editing, and keeping your own records.

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Weekly News is preparing for release. This page describes planned features and usage conditions. App downloads and subscription purchases are not currently available. Final prices, billing periods, and generation limits will be displayed before sales begin.

1. Your records and AI drafts

Weekly News stores personal journal entries on your device and edits a selected week's records into a newspaper format. AI output is an editable draft. It may contain inaccurate statements or details absent from your records; review and correct it before using or sharing it. This is not a medical or mental-health diagnosis or counseling service.

Respect other people's privacy and rights when writing or sharing. You choose which records and articles to share.

2. Free records and paid generation

Writing entries, reading saved records, and exporting them are being prepared as features available without a subscription. AI newspaper generation requires an internet connection and a valid paid subscription. Prices, billing periods, and monthly generation limits are not yet finalized and will be shown in the app and store purchase flow before payment.

Once offered, subscriptions will renew automatically until canceled. Management, cancellation, and refunds follow the conditions of the store where you purchase. Deleting records or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Saved records remain available to read and export after the subscription ends.

Purchase restoration is being prepared for the same store account used to buy the subscription. Transfers or combined subscription access between iOS and Android are not provided.

3. Generation limits and failures

The monthly generation limit will use UTC calendar months. You can retry after connection or model-response failures. A separate attempt limit may also apply to control processing costs.

If the server completes generation but the response never reaches your device, a generation may count without a saved newspaper. The server does not retain newspaper contents and cannot recover that lost result. A new request may use another generation. If this keeps happening, contact support before trying again.

4. Export and deletion

The app does not provide cross-device synchronization or cloud journal backup. Export important records yourself and keep them somewhere safe. The app may be unable to recover deleted records. Deleting a source entry also removes saved newspapers that cite it.

5. Release preparation and changes

The features described here are undergoing release checks. We will update the website and app information as features and conditions change. This information is not intended to limit any consumer rights that apply to you.
